WebMy experience with GEM mounts was not too broad in scope when I bought my g11. It was limited to using the Meade LXD-75 and the Celestron equivalent Advanced GT mount. The g11 was certainly a much more solid mount! It increased the carrying capacity from 30lb to 70lb. The weight of the mount itself was also certainly higher. WebIOptron, how does the ra go from a pe of 8 or so peak to peak to 30? All this while always practicing safe operating habits, such as always disengaging the gear locks and locking the axis locks when not in use, or when walking around the mount/balancing. Web28 feb. 2015 · The ZEQ25-GT mount, along with many other iOptron mounts use a spring tension system to keep the gears meshed. This system has been proven to be the cause of some issues with longer scopes but since I use a fairly short tube/lens albeit quite heavy, I was assured that it won't be a problem. Boandpokey, Yes, you can mount different scopes on the same mount if your have the same dovetail on them, or if your mount has the capacity mount both at the same time. I have a C6R, 8"R200ss with a 90mmf4 as a guider, & a PST on my mount all the time, but my mount is a beast. YMMV.
